Kobukan students give demonstrations of Yoshokai Aikido at local events. In addition to regular demonstrations for the Bloomington Sister City Organization, the Dragon Festival in St. Paul, and the Lantern Lighting Festival in St. Paul, we are available for demonstrations at appropriate events. Bloomington Sister City Annual Kite Day
Saturday, May 2, 2009 from 1 - 4 p.m.
The Kobukan will be giving a demonstration and have a booth. Stop by to see us! This exciting event features entertainment, food, kites, and a festive atmosphere to celebrate Children's Day in Japan. The annual Dragon Festival held at Lake Phalen is a celebration of the music, art, dance and cultures of Asia. The Kobukan is excited to participate in this event for our third year by giving a demonstration of Yoshokai Aikido for spectators. The Lantern Lighting Festival is St. Paul's Sister City festival with Nagasaki. The Kobukan has been giving demonstrations at the Lantern Lighting Festival for many years. We typically give several demonstrations near our booth throughout the afternoon, as well as on the martial arts stage. Check the booth for times or just stop by to chat!
